ABOUT FERNANDO ESPINOSA CHAUVIN:

Grown up in Ecuador, Fernando has been living in New York for many years. He got his first camera at the age of 12 and developed his interest in photography at his school newspaper. He received his first National Prize at age 17 for his photographs of Scenes of Quito.   He later had an exhibit at the Casa de Cultura in Quito and went on to win other institutional prizes.

His professional photography career began in New York as a fashion photographer for international modeling agencies such as Ford Models, Elite, IMG, and Next.   Later he expanded to architectural assignments, carrying over his eye for lighting and design to those compositions.    He also has taught illumination techniques in photography workshops hosted by the International Center of Photography in New York and the gallery "Pobre Diablo" in Quito. His professional work has been published in various magazines and catalogues in the United States and Ecuador.   He is currently focused on several artistic books projects; like Afrodisiaco and Trococo.
